College of LawMain aims of the College of Law The aim of the College of Law is to prepare professionals on all three levels of higher education system (bachelor, master and PhD) through equipping the student with theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as ensuring that they master scientific and research skills according to national and international standards in higher education in law. Currently, the College of Law offers bachelors degree program. The aim of the program is to prepare qualified specialist with academic degree in law, through teaching her/him the function of law in society and state and developing skills for research and other professional abilities. Program helps students to learn to understand and analyze the issues in law and to use acquired practical knowledge, which on its part serves the aim of preparing lawyer, competent in general, as well as field specific matters and equipped with theoretical and practical skills. The bachelor degree program ensures that students will study and understand the juridical matters and learn how to use effectively the acquired knowledge. Students will master necessary methods for lawyer and learn how to solve juridical issues independently, as well as the ability to use in practice, communicate and teach the received knowledge. For archiving these goals student will be given special knowledge about such matters as what is law, its methods and history in frames of public, private, criminal and international law study modules. Students will participate in research and practical activities (will learn how to create legal documents), will do the practice according to their interests in public, private and non-profit organizations. The bachelor of law can work in public, corporate, non-governmental and international organizations. To be able to work as advocate, prosecutor or judge the graduates are required to pass special exams. The sphere of employment is determined after finishing corresponding educational program. To "enter" the different profession one should pass state certification exams. The holder of bachelors' degree can work on any position, which does not require having a master degree. At the same time, the graduate of bachelor program is powered to continue study on masters' level, which is oriented on preparing the next level specialist. |
