Activities of the Institute of Applied Psychology are based on the mission of the Ilia State University and directed towards fundamental scientific research, which is to ensure harmonious human development.

Major activities of the Institute are dedicated to the study of peculiarities of human psychology and providing of relevant aid to the people with psychological problems. This means work on the issues of psychology and education of school children, delivery of psychotherapy to the youth who experience emotional and behavioral problems, study of Psychological abuse in children and the ways of its prevention, rehabilitation of the youth who find themselves in a state of stress etc.
